BACKUP:
Its now December 2016, is there an app that would backup the iPhone device to an image? I mean the whole device just like backing iPhone with the iTunes. Any app to backup to an image as a carbon copy of the phone?

CLEANUP:
What would be the best way to cleanup the iPhone - junk files, internet browing caches, left over files, memories, etc?

Thanks

I would recommend using iTunes to take a full back up and then just copy the backup folder. This is pretty much like a full image.

As far as cleaning up files I wouldn't worry about that.

"Your iOS device automatically deletes cached files and temporary files when it needs more space. You don't need to delete them yourself."

For the most part, the iTunes backup is a lot more like an "image" than it used to be. The backup (since iOS 9) includes the list of apps installed when the backup was made, and they get re-downloaded from the store, for example, rather than depending on an app sync from iTunes.
