I have been offered an Iphone from a friend that has lots of Apps that they have bought on it. The phone is not jail broken. I need to know if I can back up the Apps in my iTunes or if it is going to try and wipe them off the iPhone because I didn't buy them.

They are not yours, why would you think you'd be able to keep them?

If your friend authorizes your iTunes with his password, you may be able to use them. You'd want to check w/ them first

People shouldn't jailbreak their iPhones but they still do.

The point is it has the apps on the phone and I'd get them with the phone, I just need to know if there is a way of getting the apps backed up into my iTunes without his password or if there is a piece of software that I can use that will back them up separately.

Short answer: No

Long answer: Forum rules do allow talk about jailbreaking, they do not allow piracy (ya know, the act of stealing or using apps that you didn't purchase?). You're not going to get much help here if you're trying to back up apps that aren't yours
