backing up iPhoto library

Since iLife '08 came out I noticed photos are saved in the "pictures" folder under a single iPhoto library icon. If I want to back up my pictures do I only need to copy that single library icon for all of my pictures to be backed up?

Yes.

All they did was make the library folder into a package. You can right click it and view the contents to see your individual pictures.
