Hi all, i want to start fresh when my 7+ arrives but only want to reinstate game data only, I am having a look around but can't see a work around to do this?

There are programs you can use to back up and restore select items from an iDevice (iExplorer is one example) however most cost money.

I face the same thing as you every year - I always want to start fresh but don't want to lose app data from apps that don't save their data to iCloud. As a result, I always end up restoring from a backup, year after year. Pretty sure there are legacy files somewhere within the file system from my iPhone 3GS since I've been restoring since then.

There's apps out there that allow you selectively restore data. There's one in particular but can't remember the name right now...

Selectively restore health data or other iOS data / content? For restoring iOS data, some good options are PhoneRescue, Dr. Fone, iData Recovery, etc. But not quite sure how to do that with the health data..

Take a screen shot of all the apps you want to reinstall for your next phone (so you remember them).

Delete all the apps that you don't want to save their data.

Backup the phone.

Setup the new phone from the backup.

Re-download the apps that were deleted.
