backing up keychain, passwords

hey how can I backup my keychain and the passwords in my opera browser? is it as simple as copying the keychain file and then importing it on a fresh osx?

That should do it...

If you double-click your ~/Library/Keychains/login.keychain file, can you find the entry for your stored Opera passwords?
To be on the safe side you could try it out first by copying it to another user account orso.
Not a bad idea to backup your complete ~/Library/ directory...
