You can delete all the Apple default bookmarks after a reinstall, then use the Import menu item to bring all your old ones back in.

T The Man macrumors 6502a Jul 7, 2004 613 225 Aug 16, 2006 #6 Safari bookmarks can be found on disk @ ~/Library/Safari/Bookmarks.plist That's the native Safari bookmarks file. Just back up that folder. I usually back up the whole Library folder anyway, as many apps store data and preferences there.
