Backing Up To iCloud

I may just be dumb and missing something simple but when I backup to iCloud under contacts (on the iCloud.com site) it is only showing 2 of my contacts. They happen to be the only two I have added since I got the 4S. Is there a way that I can sync all my existing contacts to iCloud?

Where are your existing contacts? On your phone? Gmail? Exchange? MobileMe? Other?

When I got my 3GS ALL of my numbers were put into the phone manually. Then one day I synced my contacts from my 3GS to Windows Address Book. Once I got the 4S I then synced from Address Book to the phone. Now when I backed up to iCloud I assumed they would appear on iCloud.com but like I said its only showing the 2 I have manually put into the phone since I got it.
