iPod touch Backlight annoyances!!1

Every time I'm playing a game or reading something on Safari, the iPod dims it's lights so I touch it, but the light doesn't go back to full power. WTH is this? :'(

By any chance do you have auto brightness on? If so I would turn it off because it seems to bug you.

Mine is weird too, sometimes I notice that the screen brightness waivers regardless of having auto brightness turned on or off. its mostly noticeable with a dim setting. Is this common?
