Hi all,

My screen is pretty uniform all in all but I have some backlight bleed in the corners, is this par for the course with these panels?

Hadn't noticed really until the laptop booted up full brightness on a black screen for some reason.

Anyone have any pics of theirs for reference?

I'm not trying to start a problem for people just curious :)

I can see a little bleed in the corner at near full brightness with a black background. (Sorry, no pic.) My screen seems uniform with a white background.

Thanks, yeah mine is in the corners at full brightness, 60% brightness and you can't really see it. Seems inherent on this type of screen having looked online.

Anybody else have this? I guess what's acceptable is up to the individual.

Across all the equipment I have ever owned, PC TFTs, MacBooks and iMacs I have always seen some backlight bleed. Never enough to disturb me when in normal use, it only bugs me when I'm deliberately looking for it.

It's a combination of the cost of manufacturing and the fact the majority of people don't care.
