Hi, I have a 15" AL PB and its seems the backight is going out. All of a sudden the screen went dark. Not black, but dark, I could still see the windows and stuff if you look hard. When I bring the brightness down to nothing, then up 1 click the screen is fine, just a tad dark, no flicker. But if I go up to 2 clicks of brightness, then it flickers. As I increase brightness the flickers get faster, untill it goes dark again. These flickers are just really fast no backlight/backlight/no backlight/backlight. Not lines of anything, just dark/light.
So I assume its the back light as I have reinstalled OS X thinking/praying it was just a preference problem to no help. Does anyone have any idea on how much this might cost to fix. The usual out of warranty.
