Backlit Keyboard

Hi, I am trying to strengthen the light on my backlit keyboard, but when I try to increase it just shows the icon with the circle with the line going through it, and it doens't do anything. Fix?

I too was confused by this. It seems that with the mbp you can only turn on the key light when the ambient light is dim ( which was not the case with the MBA I had for few days): the last poster is right. Get in the dark to enjoy your key light.

True. It won't turn on at all if it isn't dark enough. Hold your hands over the speakers and see for yourself

I am curious, what type of lights do they use? LED?

There's 4 white LED's under the keyboard...
and two light sensors, one on e each side, where the grills are. If you look carefully (at the photo) you can just see the top of the clear dust cover...
