Hi,

The keys 7, 8, 9, and 0 are considerably dimmer than the others. Is that normal or do I need to replace the keyboard?

I don't think each key has it's very own led so it could be normal

mine is perfectly even on all keys. They did just replace my keyboard a few months ago.

All my keys are lit consistently. To me it does look like each key has its own light or led, what ever they are. And the bigger key's like the spacebar and shift keys have two lights.

We can't answer this question for you. From what I have read, it isn't normal. I haven't noticed it on mine, but I haven't looked either. If it bothers you, change it because these are expensive computers and it should be in prime condition (assuming no user damage). If you try to return it and get bitched at about a "restocking fee", get a manager and be nice but explain why it is unacceptable.
