Is there anything that exists with a low key travel similar to Apple’s magic keyboard?

Also, why isn’t Apple’s keyboards backlit. Even the wired ones. Would really come in handy for many editors and photographers who work in dim lighting.

I was going to suggest the Logitech MX Keys. They make one with PC keys, but also once specifically for Mac that has the matching keys for a Mac. I just got the Mac on a few days ago to replace the Apple keyboard I've been using, and so far, I really like it.

I also have the Logitech MX keys. I don't have the Apple Magic Keyboard, but I tried it out in a store and it is nice but didn't suit my needs (multi-device connection). The Logitech MX keys have fairly low key travel (but feel different from the Apple Magic Keyboard), are wireless, and have backlighting.

the only downside of the MX keys is that the backlight brightness gets reset every time the keyboard sleeps.

otherwise its a fine keyboard and I should've bought it a lot sooner than I did

Oh yes, that is true. I don't need backlighting so at the start I tended to turn it off, but it kept getting reset so now I just ignore it...
