I will be purchasing my first Macbook Pro this week, and had a question regarding protection. I have a North Face Surge backpack now which has been great, but I am worried about dents. I've been looking at the Waterfield sleeve and Tom Bihn Brain Cell. The Brain Cell seems nice, but I doubt it would fit in my bag. How well do you all think the Waterfield/Surge combo will prevent dents from being in the bag with books and such? Are there any other sleeves I should consider?

Hi tonede, have you explored the Briggs & Riley laptop sleeves? They have really nice padded sleeves which can prevent your laptop from knocks and falls while it is in your backpack. Hope it helps.

I have been using the Surge for med school. It's great. I usually have a bunch of books in the book compartments and my laptop shows no signs of dents/abnormal wear. I have a 15" unibody in there. I have it in an incase sleeve inside the protected laptop compartment.
