Any suggestions? Most camera backpacks I see either look terrible, are super expensive, or don't have a soft lining for the laptop (could be an issue for space gray finishes). I really like the peak design every day backpack, but the laptop area is a bit snug in 20L, and the price tag is ridiculous.

I'm tempted to get a regular backpack and use a DSLR insert, but I don't want the camera to press too hard against the laptop in bag.

I recently bought a couple of bags at eBags.com. The professional slim laptop backpack I bought for everyday use and professional weekender I got for business trips.

I know this doesn’t exactly answer your question, but these bags IMO are awesome laptop. Bags and the two of them I can use together when traveling. They have a crap load of bags with a lot of storage options.

My suggestion if you use the site is register your email on their site and wait a few days....you they have 25 - 30% off all the time.
