Hello,

typical question, perhaps atypical application...

I go motorcycle touring... No highways, the smaller and more obscure the road the better. Twisty roads left abandoned, forgotten, or even unpaved are bliss for me.

Now which is the better nav app? Besides maps of obscure backroads, flexible routing (sometimes illogical routing) I need something that has a super easy interface (operate while wearing gloves...).

Whacha think nav gurus?

Thanks for advice,

r.

Funny you should compare these two actually.

On the Gadget Show last night they actually compared two dedicated units from those suppliers.

It's not the iPhone app I know, but the Tom Tom came out well ahead. Big screen. Easy to use. Loud to hear. Easy to follow.

They were using this in London though, not backroads.

I have a Tom Tom and couldn't rate it higher. If I were to buy Sat Nav for the iPhone, it would be Tom Tom
