Timemachine backs up my desktop to an external HD. I'd like to leave that as is.

I'd also like to backup a connected NAS drive to a different USB connected external harddrive. The NAS firmware does not have this functionality. I am thinking about using my Mac as the in between.

I have looked at Carbon Clone Copier and SuperDuper but neither would allow me to select the NAS drive as the source. They allow me to backup to the NAS as a disk image but I need to go the other way.

I "think" this can be done with rsync but I don't trust my scripting abilities. There is grsync which is rsync + a GUI. But it does not work on my powerPC. Worst case scenerio, I could set this up on a co-workers computer that is Intel.

I appreciate any thoughts, warnings, and suggestions.

Thanks,
Jed
