I'm looking into the possibility of getting an external backup
battery for my Core i5 15" MBP for those occasions when
I know I'm going to be away from an outlet for a while.
Can somebody recommend a manufacturer? My understanding
is that Apple has patented the magsafe power adapter and is
refusing to license it to anybody, so that a 3rd party manufacturer
would have to buy power adapters from Apple and hack them into
their products to avoid litigation.
I really wish Apple would make the battery easy to swap out or
at least let 3rd party companies make external batteries.
