"Backup cannot be reliablity restored

I am getting this error code. What should I do at this point? I am hesitant to erase history, but if that is what I have to do ... what are my steps from there? TIA.

Download and try either CarbonCopyCloner or SuperDuper (or try both).
Both are free to download and use for 30 days.

If you had a backup created with either one, you wouldn't be getting these error messages as you're getting them now...

If I needed something from the history, I’d restore a copy of it now. Then I’d erase the backup history and start again. For me, backup history is nice to have but rarely needed.

It is time to move on from your Time Capsule. Coincidentally, TidBits has a new article on this Moving on from Time Capsule looking at various options for network backup.
If your Mac is an iMac, the simplest is an always connected USB HDD.
