Alright guys,
I have never backed up any data from the Time Machine. I never really ventured into backup tools. Anyway: Now the issue is my iMac fails to boot up and, after days of research, I have finally come to the conclusion that formatting and doing a clean reinstall is the only way out.
The issue that Disk Utility signals are out of my understanding -- Invalid volume dir. count, Incorrect number of threads, etc. Is there any command line, or any other way (even Time Machine) that could help me back up the whole data? I have the DVD of Mac OS X inserted in the drive and I hope someone can help me bring back the lost smile on my face.
