Hi,

I just recently updated my macs.

First my iMac (2015) to 11.2.1, then it started to fail the backup (for no obvious reason); logfile shows error

Backup failed (501: BACKUP_VERIFICATION_FAILED_PREVIOUSLY)

In comparison, my macbook pro (2017) was doing fine (still on 11.2): Backups ran smoothly as ever (for months), same as with the iMac before the upgrade.

iMac: I tried to verify the backup, reboot the (Synology) NAS which I have been using for years, "repaired" the iMac-disks, failure is "persistent". So I figured it must be a problem with the iMac, and let him delete the old backups (plural!) & do a new one. Took some hours, lost last years backups, which is no problem right now - but not very satisfying. Now backups seem to run smooth again.

I then updated the macbook to 11.2.1, and voila: Same issue... so it does not seem to be connected to my iMac but to the OS-upgrade. Because you might ask: No changes on the NAS-side in the last months.

I do hate these stupid surprises...

Does anyone else experience that problem?

Cheers
