Hi guys,

I'm new to Mac and OSX, and would like to get your insight on this. I have a Macbook with OSX, plus Win XP installed under Bootcamp and Parallels. I can use Time Machine to back up almost everything (except the virtual machine in Parallels) under OSX to Time Capsule. But the Win XP partition is totally "exposed".

Is there any way to fully back up the Win XP partition under Bootcamp and Parallels from OSX (so that in case of hard drive crash, I can just restore the backup image)?

Thanks in advance for your help

I have the same problem with Fusion, although VMware tells me there will be an option for Time Machine to backup the virtual machine file in an upcoming update.

Have you tried manually copying the virtual machine to the Time Machine backup drive? Even if you did that once a week it would provide some protection.
