I would appreciate some advice

Just bought my 27 inch iMac with 3tb Fusion Drive to replace my old 2007 24 inch I Mac. I have a 2TB seagate Hard Drive but need a new 3TB HD for time machine.
Could you advice on a suitable HD, i was considering the WD My Cloud drive but I have heard some bad reviews of this.

Thanks.

You don't need anything fancy.

A plain WD Elements USB 3.0 or Seagate Expansion will do.

I'd also suggest using something like Backblaze ($5/m cloud backups) to cover you in the event your house burns down and/or HDD is stolen alongside your iMac.

I just took the old HDD out of my broken 7-year-old HP laptop and bought an external USB 3 enclosure off of Amazon for £5 and boom - a cheap, reliable and pretty fast HDD for Time Machine and other backups!
