Backup from iOS5 Restore to iOS6?

My 5 comes in Monday. I've got my 4s backup ready to go. When I do the restore, I guess it just restores NON OS version related files? Meaning... when I restore my 4s backup to the 5 (running iOS 6), it will still be running the new iOS 6 once complete, yes? The 4s is backup is from iOS5 btw...

Yes or everybody who wants to downgrade from 6 would just have restored from an old backup. #
