Hi all.
I've updated my iPad to the first GM of 4.2, and (surprise surprise) I'm having the wifi issues that've plagued it thus far. I didn't have them on my home network (using an AEBS), but I'm on holiday for the week and I'm having them where I am now.
The problem I've got is that I've synced the iPad with my iMac at home. I've got my MacBook with me, and I was wondering if I backed up the iPad in iTunes on the MacBook, would I be able to restore it from a backup and keep all of the apps and settings? Or will it not be possible because it's synced to a different library (like I know is the case with music). The reason I want to back it up and restore it is to try GM2, with the alleged fixes.
Any help would be much appreciated, as I've unwittingly rendered my iPad borderline useless for a week! Serves me right for being impatient I guess
