I have an iphone 4s. I had upgraded the software from ios 8 to ios 9 but had tons of issues with this. I had thought i would had to do factory reset of my iphone 4s because i didn't create a backup.

It took a while and lot of tries but the software upgrade did finally work.

I like to know how to make sure i backup everything on my iphone so if something like this happens again, then i won't have issues doing a factory restore since i have a backup of my files saved. Also... how often do you have to backup your iphone? Anything you add a lot of things to it? How often do you do it? How long does it take usually? So basically anything you add a lot of stuff on your iphone... then you backup it each time? But what if you don't do that for a while but have a lot of texts with others. If you want to have those texts... don't you basically have to backup your iphone everyday then?
