I have been trying the past few weeks to backup my iTunes library (approx. 3.9GB) to iDisk, so I have a copy in the cloud. I use the Backup app and schedule it to do the backup once a month. It would start promisingly enough, going through copying files, creating archives, etc. and start uploading. But about 3/4 of the way through, it would stop and I get the message "Backup Failed" and when I look at the details, it is all greek to me of course.

I use the Backup app to backup my Documents folder and other databases without problems (Things, Yummysoup, iBank, etc.) so I cannot understand the problem with iTunes. There is plenty of disk space so that isn't the problem.

Does anybody know why this is happening? I have been searching both the Apple Communities page and this forum but haven't come across anyone having a similar problem.

I also use Dropbox to backup my Documents folder but do not have enough storage space for the iTunes library, and would not like to pay for extra storage. I am now trying Cyberduck to transfer my iTunes folder but it is taking a long, long time. I also use Time Machine to do a disk backup on a HDD, so I do have options. But Backup is convenient as you can schedule it on a regular basis. Maybe it is too much trouble and I should just forget it and rely on the Time Machine Backup instead.

Any information would be appreciated. I know there is a lot of negativity about Mobileme and iDisk, and but I do love the syncing of contacts with my iPhone.
