I currently have a time machine backup on a 16-inch, 2019 model macbook Pro running to my NAS and it has backed up over 46GB of content so far and is still going. This has never happened.

Is this a bug in the software?

EDIT: we're up to 52GB now. I also have some folders excluded from backing up. Could that be a factor?

EDIT: Now up to 75GB.

EDIT: Now up to 83GB.

EDIT: Finished backing up to NAS. I'm going to try to back up to a external disk.

EDIT: External drive backed up about 15GB. Will try backing up to NAS again shortly.

EDIT: Backed up to NAS. Very little was backed up this round. I guess this is solved?

I thought this was solved but it is NOT.

Currently have a backup to my NAS with 43GB backed up with 55% complete.

I am going to restart my Mac after this.

EDIT: 68.5% with 79GB backed up.

EDIT: 69.6% with 97GB backed up.

I'm going to cancel backup and restart.

EDIT: Restarting backup now that I've rebooted my machine. Wish me luck.

EDIT: 52% done and 1.94GB backed up so far. I hope this is solved again.

EDIT: Backup complete. I hope this is solved!
