Backup Mac on iPad

Hi,

I have a Mac and an iPad. The iPad has a lot of excess storage which won't be used and I would like to backup my Mac on the iPad using it an external drive. Does anyone have any idea, how do I get time-machine to detect my iPad as an external storage? I don't have an airport product.

I can pay for any app which allows me to do it.

I know I can manually copy paste my files, but that's not what I am looking at.
