Hi. I'm trying to get better organized about backing up files. We have:
1 Macbook Pro (Snow Leopard)
1 Macbook (partitioned with BootCamp to have Leopard/Windows XP)
1 Desktop PC (using external hard drive with Windows XP)
I want to keep our data on hard drives or removable flash drives. My priority is stability. I'm planning to keep one backup set at home, and another in a safe deposit box (although in reality, it will probably sit in the corner and I'll never remember to take it to the safe deposit box
How do I make backups of multiple devices? Should I put the backups of the Macbook Pro and the Mac partition of the Macbook on one hard drive, and the backup of the PC and the Windows partition of the Macbook on a different hard drive? How do I put backups of two computers onto one hard drive (or is that not advised)? Thanks for any help; I'm good at following directions and can find my way around the directories fairly well, but don't understand enough about file type or partitions to figure out the most stable way to do this.
