Backup of a backup

Hello all,



I have been backing up my macbook pro to a 500 GB Lacie harddrive using intego backup assistant. That harddrive is now full, and i have bought a WD My Passport 1TB to replace it.

I am looking to not only copy all of the files on the Lacie to the WD My Passport, but i want to resume backups using the WD My Passport from now on.

I do not use time machine. I use intego backup assistant which works fine for me.

This may be simple- I just don't want to accidentally delete anything while switching backup drives.

Any help is much appreciated.
