New MBP on the way. Need back-up plan. Getting complicated. Use TM or not? Clone it or not? What external drive to use for both? It'd be easiest to use wireless after initial backup/clone. Can I clone and back-up to one external HD? Like time capsule? What about WD My Book Live? Anyone over experience with that? It would be great to move to wireless. I use WD external drives on pc now, but it is a pain to connect hard wire regularly.

One approach is to use carbon copy cloner (or equivalent) to clone. Then use TM or another program to do regular backups. Need 2 HDs for this or one? If one, how to format external HD? Would this vary if I use boot camp or just parallels? Can I clone and backup to a time capsule or some other external HD wirelessly? If not I will be doing them same thing I do with pc. Currently have no pc clone. I use Memeo to backup data etc. It works great but have to connect it regularly to external HD. Trying to avoid having to reconnect an external HD constantly (after initial backup or clone).

thanks for advice.
