Hi everybody,
so I recently got an iPad Pro 12.9 with M1 to replace my aging MacBook Pro from 2013. I already created shortcuts to copy photos from the Photo library to an external USB drive as an offline backup.
Now, my problem lies with my files. What is the recommended way to backup all my iCloud files to the same external USB drive. There seems to be no way to work with folders in Shortcuts but I have 14 GB of data in thousands of files in iCloud Drive. I don't want to backup app folders on iCloud, just my documents which are all in one folder with several subfolders.
I can code, so I'm not afraid of doing some coding to make it work. With my old MacBook I used a shell script and rsync to backup all my folders and files. Or is there an app that can do this?

Looking forward for feedback.

Well, just found out that shortcuts for files are actually able to work with folders sometimes, although folders are not mentioned as being supported. I guess I can work with that.

And sorry for posting in the iOS forum instead of the iPadOS forum..
