Edit: (to simplify my question)

Is there a point to keep both daily/hourly/etc time machine backups on a time capsule alongside sparseimage super duper backups (weekly or monthly) since I can't boot from the super duper sparseimages anyway?

I was thinking of doing this just in case the time machine image would become corrupt but don't know if this is anything to worry about or not. I don't want to waste or run out of space. Has anyone used a similar setup?
