Backup query.

I intend downloading Mavericks over the weekend and will obviously backup to an external hard drive before I do. Should I do another backup immediately after the download, or will it be OK to leave it a couple of days?

I would wait a couple days to make sure Mavs is working okay with all your apps etc. That way you can always restore back to the previous OS if you find Mavs to be a deal killer in any area.
