If I were to backup my phone after it crashed, would the applications back up too? So I would keep all my high scores and such?

Thanks a lot.

I think the whole "apps aren't backed up" thing was a mistake, and people have continued to say it. I'm fairly sure apps are still being backed up, it's just that they've now sorted out the whole incremental thing which wasn't working in 2.0 - 2.0.2.

Yea i could see how someone could easily make that assumption. I mean going from 5 hrs to 1 minutes? People will ask questions and say "well maybe it doesn't really back up the apps.. yea that's probably it" haha

Did a restore and setup the phone from my backup....no apps. Had to re-sync everything. The only thing is backed up was mail accounts.

I am surprised it doesn't backup just the app data files, not the apps itself. You usually have those in Itunes anyway.

UPDATE: I sync'ed the phone after restoring from a backup and all my data from for my apps was kept intact. The only thing is I had to rearrange all of them like i had them before but I can live with that.
