Backup Software with Compression?

I've been searching for backup software in this forum, and found one called Super Duper. Does it support compression? How are the backups stored?

I used Acronis True Image on windows which would give the option of creating a compressed backup image, incremental backups etc.

Does Super Duper operate in the same way or does it simply just copy your files and folders to another location?

bump...tried Carbon Copy Cloner last night but it doesn't seem to support compression?
