Hey folks,
I am working on a network with approx 40 macs. They are all connected to active directory and use file shares to store important documents. Currently our users also Time machine backup onto external drives. I would like to provide a better solution. I have read that you can't use a network share as a location to send time machine backups in OSX server. I assume that is because the file system must be Mac OS Extended (Journaled). So, I have been looking at Xsan and wondering what options I have. Is anyone reading this backing up to a server? Do I need to set up a mac running OSX server and attach a SAN or other storage or am I missing something?
Thanks
