I own a Time Capsule (500GB) that I use to use to backup up my iMac. Recently, we purchased a MacBook and needed a larger drive to backup both the iMac (500GB) and the new MacBook (250GB). Instead of buying a new larger Time Capsule, I elected to by a WD external drive (1TB) and connect it to the Time Capsule via USB.
Everything works great, both machines backup just fine. My question though: I now have the empty Time Capsule disk that I would like to store a few files on. I would like the files to be backed up using Time Machine just like my other computers. Is it possible to force Time Machine to backup the Time Capsules volume? Thanks for your help.
