Hey

I'm gong to college soon and i need a way to backup my whole macbook pro. The only problem is that superduper and carbon clone copier don't allow me to backup because i have my harddrive in fat32 format. I need it in fat32 because i need to be able to tranfer files between windows based computers and my macbook. Anyway, I was wondering if there was a program or other way to backup my computer to the external hdd without reformatting it????

Thx

If you're up to using the command line you can use the 'rsync' command to do backups. It's not very hard to use, just do some searches on the syntax to use. Works wonders for me.

Pretty much what he said, go and search for "rsync," it's a very helpful command-line utility under unix and it's very efficient [incremental] when it comes to creating backups.
