So I did a clean install after replacing a bad HDD. I did a Time Machine backup from an external (AFTER a clean install and updating everything). When it prepared the files it basically said I would need to enter the username/password and after doing that I chose to keep both users (which have identical names). It copied the files but when it finished it just kinda closed out...
The volume I installed on is Macintosh HD (which is also the name of my original HDD and backups)...there seems to be a "Macintosh HD (Original) and a "Macintosh HD" drive in the /Volumes. I can even go so far as to open the apps and they work but I'm not sure how to access them manually...
My backups seem to be on Macintosh HD (Original) but I have no clue how to even view it or access the files.
