Im having an issue with my iPhone backup. I have iCloud photos turned on, and everything work great and syncs, but I noticed that my iPhone has 20gb go photos (my entire library), and it backs this up separately on my hard drive. This obviously is redundant and takes away from critical space on my RMBP (why oh why didn't i get the large hard drive 3 years ago)...anyways, any thoughts on how to correct this. I was thinking of turning off iCloud photos on my phone, delete everything, and then turn i cloud back on, hoping that it wouldn't actually take up all that space, but just be in the cloud. Of course my fear is that I will just end up deleting all my photos..

Any ideas?

If you want to keep everything you have on the cloud as well as back up, you just need more iCloud storage space. or, do your back ups on iTunes.
