I've used Chronosync to back up a drive on to another one (freshly reformatted) and did a Finder "Get info" comparison check of the two drives when done. I expected them to be the same, which they're not:
Source drive
1,81 TB on disk (1 807 829 732 662 bytes) for 114 062 items
Destination drive
1,81 TB on disk (1 807 829 735 072 bytes) for 114 055 items
Is there a reason for concern? Both drives have the exact same capacity (even teh same brand/model). The only difference I can see is that the destination (backup) drive has an additional "_Archived Items" folder sized at around 32MB but I can't see how this would interfere with the file/folder count.
And yes, I did the "Get info" on the drives' root folder, not the drives themselves (so as to omit the "_Archived Items" folder).
