So I am trying to start the process of uploading all my dvds on to an external hard drive. I am moving across the country and would love not to be have pack all of them. Some of these movies are copies of the original (i.e. I made a copy of one I bought and gave the original to my mom).
When trying to make any type of file format of the copy it simply will not work. Handbrake will give the first section of the film, anywhere from 10-15 mins, but that's it. It states that it is going to copy the entire film chapter though.

Any thoughts and suggestions?

Ensure you have the latest copy of Handbrake. If they are not copy protected DVDs you can use Disk Utility. Keep in mind this is illegal on certain disks and you should fully understand what you are copying and the terms that come along with it.
