If you haven't seen the Wired story, you need to read it. Here: http://www.wired.com/magazine/2010/07/ff_att_fail/all/1
Bottom line, you've all been played for suckers. You've been billed above-market rates for substandard service, including dropped calls, capped bandwith, and more failures than all -- and I do mean all -- the other cellular networks combined.
Apple and ATT have not been able to deliver on the promises, and these failures accelerated mightily after the release of iPhone 3G, a misnomer if there ever was one. iPhone 4 may be the biggest fail yet -- reception problems, capped bandwith, and even more dropped calls. And for the glory of the iPhone 4 fail, you get to pay even more money with fewer plan choices. You people need your heads examined. Seriously.
I hate talking to people on their iPhones, because the call invariably gets dropped or the reception is utter garbage. Again, this is noticeable with iPhone.
We'll stick with Verizon and T*Mobile (our two service providers) and our cheap "talkies" from Nokia. We pay far far less per month than you iPhoners. Our cellular networks are stable. We don't have reception problems. Our calls don't drop. And our phones sound great.
Sure, maybe I can't watch pr0n, play a game, download music and look at photos on our simpler Nokia phones. Well iPhoners, you can keep all that jazz. Our cell phones work with minimal expense and no frustration. Number of cell phone complaints we've made the past year? Zero. Our Verizon, T*Mobile and Nokia stuff simply works. It's a tradeoff we are happy to make.
