My hard drive took a crap last week, and I installed a replacement. I have seem to lost my original disks that came with my Macbook.

My question is, a co worker and myself ordered our laptops the same day, specifically on the order. They are identical (sans his working hard drive :D ). Can I use his disk to reinstall my operating system?

Thank you.

Yes, disks from the same model can be used just fine. I'd recommend getting a replacement set of your own for the future, they're very handy, but I'd assume you want this working quickly, so that will work just fine.
