Bad LCD or Bad Video Card

I have an imac where the screen looks all funny, I'm guessing it's the video card, it doesn't have lines, it's more like random artifacts.

It's an A1224 Core 2 Duo, is the video card replaceable if it's bad?

I'm in the process of getting a display port adapter to test it on another monitor.

Wow a Core 2 Duo iMac!

If something has gone bad with it, I think it would be less time consuming and expensive by just replacing it with a new(er) iMac at this point.

my vote is for bad video card (artifacts) but why not try hooking up a secondary LCD to confirm?

I work at repair shop, pretty much all PC. This mac was left here and I was gonna use it in the shop for getting data off of macs (our current one is a 2006). If it wasn't a huge deal to fix, I was gonna get it working.
