Took my laptop in for service a couple weeks ago (it was shipped to the Houston center). Got it back (with problems fixed), and Apple removed my OWC 1Gb RAM module, stating that it failed final tests.

So, I left it out until tonight - did some testing (TechTool Deluxe and Rember), and found no errors.

RAM is very cheap these days and I could simply replace it - however, I'm puzzled by Apple's diagnosis. Has this happened to anyone else?

A short in the ram module might not be present at every moment, depending on where it is.

An upgrade to 2gigs of crucial ram is only like $50. I would just pop for that and get some shiny new modules.
