Bad Memory?

2 days ago I got my 2gb stick of RAM from OWC to bump up my imac 2007 to 3 gb. Since that "upgrade" I have had firefox crash once, and pages crash twice.

However, that was the first time I have done anything with pages even before the upgrade, and I can't reproduce the crash now.

I decided to test my RAM, but I didn't want to buy memtest so I used Rember as suggested by the macrumors guide. As I was running the program I saw that it had some failures then I had my first ever kernel panic.

Is this an obvious case of bad memory? I am new to macs too by the way.

Also, if it is bad, do I just call OWC and tell them I tested it and it is bad?

Yup. Although I buy from Crucial and that is the usual procedure. Hope it turns out OK.

Unzip the file and then burn the disk image using Disk Utility.

After that just boot and test off of the CD.
