The iPhone and iPad versions of Rovio's Bad Piggies of the game can be downloaded for free.

The Bad Piggies are after the eggs again -- but as usual, nothing is going according to plan! Can you create the ultimate flying machine and steer them safely to their destination? Those tricky pigs have a few objects they can use, but they need your help to turn these into the perfect transportation!
The gameplay of Bad Piggies is different from that of other Rovio titles like Angry Birds and its spinoffs, centering on contraption building and sandbox gameplay as opposed to the slingshot physics gameplay found in the other titles. The game also changes the roles found in the original Angry Birds by making the player control the enemy pigs as opposed to the birds, with the pigs aiming to capture their eggs after being stranded on a desert island.

Earlier this year, both Angry Birds Space and Rio were named App of the Week, also resulting in a free sale.

Update: Bad Piggies has now been confirmed as Apple's App of the Week.

Am I the only one who stopped liking Angry Birds after the first game?

You're maybe not the only one but personally I loved the game and completed every level including all the DLC.

I enjoy this game so much I bought it three times for all my devices.

Man I really hate Rovio games now..... When they first released Angry Birds it was great, but then they started basically just realising games which were a variant of Angry Birds.... and then it just got boring.

You bought the same game three times? You could have just re-downloaded it onto your other iDevices for free from the App Store......

Yeah, I got tired of Angry Birds after Rio.

It's really depressing that Apple has chosen to make practically every Angry Birds game App of the Week since it started. But then I kinda understand that developers don't want to basically give their entire revenue away from letting them do so.

Bad Piggies is okay. My brother and I got fed up with it pretty quickly. It's too complicated.

No.

Bad Piggies = iPhone App
Bad Piggies HD = iPad App
Bad Piggies for PC = PC App

That is why I bought it three times. It is not a + App so the iPad version (which I bought first) does not run on the iPhone and it obviously doesn't work on PC because there is no Apple App Store for PC. So I bought it on I think Steam to get it for PC.

I still play them, when updates come through, bought the Bad Piggies months ago, not played it as much.

I'm a bit over the whole Angry Birds franchise now but this game isn't bad on my Mac. I don't think it suits the screen size of the iPhone though due to the complexity of later levels.

Nooo! I bought this game yesterday about 3 hours before it became free! <<Cries to the heavens>>

>> Angry letter to Apple accusing them of stealing my 69p <<

I can't stand Angry Birds but I actally quite like Bad Piggies. It's a completely different game, uses a physics assembly concept to assemble machines that take you to various places.

All in all, worth my 69p even though its free now. Will be passing this one to my young daughter.

OK, it's free. why not. i can delete it or stick it in the Angry Birds folder that never gets opened anymore.

I guess with all the IAP you can get giving it away is ideal for them. but not many developers want to do that.

Grabbing it because its free, but frankly, I can't believe the price of the IAP.

i loved this game, but i just couldn't continue after about level 43 , it becomes really had after that.
